The audit runs first and is free. If your coverage will not support a citation yet we will tell you, and there is nothing to pay. Page creation is quoted only where notability is already evidenced by independent sources.

How Wikipedia Mention works

1

Citability audit

Before anything is quoted, we check whether independent coverage of your brand exists in sources Wikipedia treats as reliable. If it does not, we say so and point you at what would need to exist first.

2

Article and claim mapping

We find the articles that already cover your category and the specific sentence your brand can legitimately support, then agree the target article and the claim with you.

3

Sourcing and the edit

The reference is built from independent secondary sources, formatted to Wikipedia's citation standards, and submitted, directly or through a talk-page request where a declared interest makes that the correct route.

4

Watch and report

We watchlist the article for 90 days. You get the URL, the diff, and the sources. If the edit is reverted inside that window we re-place it or refund it.

The deliverable

What a placement actually looks like

Specimens, not client work: the kind of property we place on, the quality bar we hold it to, and the sentence your link sits in. Live URLs from real campaigns are shared on request.

Why us

Wikipedia Mention benefits

The entity source of record

Knowledge panels, Wikidata and AI answers all lean on it. Being described there sets how you are described everywhere.

Read by the people who vet you

Journalists, investors and buyers check Wikipedia before a call. Absence reads as unproven.

Heavily cited by assistants

It is one of the most-retrieved sources in AI answers, which makes a mention there unusually high leverage.

You pay on acceptance

A reverted edit is worth nothing, so the fee is due when the citation is live, not when the work starts.

The logic

Why Wikipedia Mention works

01

Nofollow is not the point, and anyone selling it as equity is guessing

Every external link on Wikipedia is nofollow. What the citation actually does is describe your brand on the page that feeds Google's knowledge panel, Wikidata, and a large share of what assistants retrieve when asked who you are. That is an entity signal, not a link signal, and it is the one most brands have no route to at all.

02

It is the reference layer everything else is checked against

A journalist deciding whether to quote you, an investor running diligence, and a model assembling an answer all reach for the same page. When your category has an article and you are not in it, the omission is doing work against you on every one of those checks.

03

The constraint is sources, not budget

Wikipedia will not carry a claim that independent coverage does not already support, which is why the audit comes before the invoice. Where the coverage is thin, editorial and press work has to happen first. We would rather tell you that than take money for an edit that gets reverted in a week.

Who it’s for

Is this right for you?

Brands with press coverage and no Wikipedia footprint

You have been written about in real publications. That is the raw material a citation needs, and it is currently doing nothing for your entity.

Anyone working on a knowledge panel

Wikipedia and Wikidata are the two sources Google leans on hardest. A citation is usually the missing corroboration.

Companies being evaluated by AI assistants

If a model has nothing authoritative to retrieve about you, it will describe your competitors instead.

Founders and executives building a public profile

A cited mention in an article about the field is often more attainable than a page of your own, and does most of the same work.

FAQ

Questions about Wikipedia Mention

No. Every external link on Wikipedia is nofollow and has been for years. Anyone selling you a Wikipedia link on the basis of passing PageRank is either misinformed or hoping you are. The value is that the citation describes your brand on the page knowledge panels, Wikidata and AI assistants all read.
Nobody can guarantee a Wikipedia edit, because any editor can revert it. What we can do is make edits that are properly sourced and properly disclosed, which is what survives, and watchlist the article for 90 days. If it is reverted inside that window we re-place it or refund you.
Then we tell you before you pay. The audit checks whether independent coverage exists in sources Wikipedia treats as reliable. Where it does not, a citation is not available at any price, and the honest next step is press and editorial work first.
Paid editing is permitted where it is disclosed, and undisclosed paid editing is not. We work to that line: declared interest, talk-page edit requests where a direct edit would be improper, and claims backed by independent secondary sources. Services that ignore this are why so many brand edits get reverted.
A knowledge panel is the outcome; a Wikipedia citation is one of the strongest inputs to it. If you are chasing a panel, this and consistent structured data are usually the two things missing. Run the free entity check first if you are not sure which you need.
Only where notability is already evidenced by independent coverage. Where it is, we quote it. Where it is not, a submitted draft gets declined and you have paid for a rejection, which is why we assess before quoting rather than after.
